The development, which caused a huge stir among anime enthusiasts and content creators, started with the mass leak of some of the most anticipated productions in the anime world. The situation escalated as both highly anticipated and smaller but beloved productions were leaked.

During the leak wave that began on August 6, major productions like Arcane, Terminator Zero, Dandadan, and Ranma ½ were among those affected, along with other titles like Heartstopper – Season 3, Jentry Chau vs. The Underworld, and Plankton: The Movie. The platform Crunchyroll was also impacted, with the first episode of the new season of the popular anime series Re:Zero being among the leaked content.

Netflix abandons plans for Army of the Dead universe

Netflix broke its silence on the matter two days later, causing concern among fans. However, the company made it clear in a statement, saying, “Our team has aggressively moved to remove the leaked content.”

Additionally, a Netflix spokesperson stated, “One of our post-production partners experienced a security breach, and unfortunately, footage from several of our productions was leaked online.” The company explained that the leaks were initially reported internally and then spread across online platforms.
